I AM EMPLOYED.

FOR THE MESS TO CLEAN AFTER A PARTY

BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE

BEEN SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS.

FOR THE CLOTHES THAT FIT A LITTLE TOO SNUG

BECAUSE IT MEANS

I HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT.

FOR MY SHADOW THAT WATCHES ME WORK

BECAUSE IT MEANS

I AM OUT IN THE SUNSHINE

FOR A LAWN THAT NEEDS MOWING,

WINDOWS THAT NEED CLEANING,

AND GUTTERS THAT NEED FIXING

BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE A HOME.

FOR ALL THE COMPLAINING

I HEAR ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT

BECAUSE IT MEANS

WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH..

FOR THE PARKING SPOT

I FIND AT THE FAR END OF THE PARKING LOT

BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM CAPABLE OF WALKING

AND I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH TRANSPORTATION.

FOR MY HUGE HEATING BILL

BECAUSE IT MEANS

I AM WARM.

FOR THE LADY BEHIND ME IN THE MOSQUE

WHO RECITES THE KORAN BECAUSE IT MEANS

I CAN HEAR.

FOR THE PILE OF LAUNDRY AND IRONING

BECAUSE IT MEANS

I HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR.

FOR WEARINESS AND ACHING MUSCLES

AT THE END OF THE DAY

BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN

CAPABLE OF WORKING HARD.

FOR THE ALARM THAT GOES OFF

IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS

BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM ALIVE.

Looking at it in another way

Menurut pakar psychology, tidak ramai manusia yang begitu kuat sehingga mampu 'handle' masalah yg besar/ sulit / perit secara bersendirian. Adakalanya kita sangat memerlukan insan lain untuk mendengar dan berkongsi masalah kita.

Namun begitu, sometimes the problem is just too personal to share with anyone. not with our closest friends nor our family. I believe we've all been there before.

Ketika itu, kepada siapa kita hendak mengadu?

Of course, Allah would be the answer. Firman Allah;

Dan apabila hamba-hambaKu bertanya kepadamau mengenai Aku maka (beritahu kepada mereka): sesungguhnya Aku (Allah) sentiasa hampir (kepada mereka) Aku perkenankan permohonan orang yang berdoa apabila ia berdoa kepadaKu. Maka hendaklah mereka menyahut seruanKu (dengan mematuhi perintahKu), dan hendaklah mereka beriman kepadaKu supaya mereka menjadi baik serta betul. (2;186)

Berdoa leaves us feeling "tidak bersendirian" dalam menghadapi sebarang kebuntuan hidup.

Kata pujangga Profesor Dr. Hamka, "ketika pintu di bumi sudah tertutup segalanya, pintu ke langit sentiasa terbuka!"

Maksudnya, apabila manusia tidak boleh lagi diharap mendengar pengaduan kita, Allah sentiasa ada untuk memdengar segala rintihan dan harapan.

Membentangkan Masalah dengan Jelas dan Tuntas

'Doa' is also the 1st step (bukan last ye kawan2) untuk menyelesaikan masalah. Doa secara tidak lengsung membentangkan masalah kita untuk diselesaikan.

Malangnya, ramai orang yang hanya gelisah tidak tentu arah apabila ditimpa masalah. Mereka hilang arah, atau tidak tahu pun apa sebenarnya masalah yang mereka hadapi!

Doa helps us express those problems as words. dengan berdoa, masalah yang asalnya kabur dan samar menjadi jelas dan terang. Doa is like writing our problems on paper.

Justeru, di malam2 terakhir Bulan Mulia ini, semasa kita bermohon, merayu, mangadu dan meluahkan segala-galanya kepada Allah, kata-kata kita semasa itu seperti membentangkan masalah kita ke hadapan-Nya. Ini akan memberi kelegaan, malah masalah itu sudah menjadi separuh selesai!

Actually there's so much i want to write about. My feelings, experiences gained, lessons learned and also partly about the recent programs that have been held like 'BYTE Muslim', Malam Aspirasi Impian (M.A.I) and Karnival Sukan Perubatan Cawangan Iskandariyah (KSPCI)

Todays class was about the famous verses : Al-Baqarah(2);45 - 46 ... yes, the whole class was only about these 2 verses... masyaAllah, bnyknya kita boleh dpt drpd 2 ayat shj!... kadang2 tu kalo baca tafsir sendiri2, sikit je yg kita boleh dapat, kita baca, tapi x smpai maksud ayat tu. itu yang bestnya datang kelas2 tafsir begini...

White Matter vs. Gray Matter

Men and Women possess two different types of brains, designed equally for intelligent behavior. Men have approximately 6.5 times as much gray matter as women. Women have almost 10 times as much white matter that men do. Information-processing centers are located in gray matter. The connections or networks among these processing centers are composed of white matter. These differences explain why men tend to excel in tasks involving gray matter local processing - like mathematics - while women excel at integrated and assimilating information from gray matter regions, required for language skills, because of their abundance of connecting white matter.


This physical difference in our brain composition helps explain why we communicate so differently. A woman's brain is busy connecting everything. The more she cares about something, the more she connects it to other things going around in her brain.

For example, when she sees a movie or visits a friend, she may have a lot to say about it. meanwhile a guy may have nothing to say unless the movie happens to hit a particular area of interest. She assumes that he does not want to talk about the movie, but he actually has little to say. With this new insight, she can be assured that he is interested in hearing what she has to say, even though he has little to offer in return. When a women gives up expecting her partner to talk more, not only does he appreciate her willingness to talk, but gradually begins to share more

When men have little to say, women often take it
personally, as if he doesn't want to share.

This same idea applies to asking a man about his day or trip he has taken. When he has little to say, he is not intentionally hiding what happened; he just doesn't think much about it, and as a consequence he doesn't remember much. She looks forward to explaining how everything connects. The process of communicating actually helps her reduce stress, while it has little benefit for him.

Well, actually bulan ni, there's gonna be a Sports Carnival by Perubatan at Alexandria.

Julung2 kalinya diadakan. and the 2nd Year's house colour is Green...

Since PLKN, i've kinda been neglecting my fitness... it wasn't till the start of this semester i got the urge to excercise... tu yg pergi gym tu... Kat skolah dulu, i was a long distance athlete (take note on the was there)... rentas desa, 1500, 800, 400... Haritu turun la jogging tepi pantai yang indah kat alex ni... semput!... ye la... da setahun lebih tak jogging... so i've been training since... giving my cardiovascular system a beating... and i hope all 2nd years start training too... tennis, netball, ping pong or whatever event you're participating in... kalau tak participate pun, jangan lupa ntuk beriadah, tunaikan haq pada badan anda... anda nanti nak suruh orang jaga kesihatan as a Dr. 'Limaza taquulu, ma laa taf'aluun?' 'Kenapa kamu cakap, apa yang kamu tak buat?'
Haq pada perut saya yakin semua tunaikan, bila lapar makan.
Haq pada tuhan pun insyaAllah beres, solat lima waktu tamam (lengkap),
Haq pada housemate clear, basuh pinggan, memasak, tidak mengganggu housemate yg tgh study...
Haq pada diri, untuk berjaya dlm exam, berjati diri, berakhlak, berjaya dunia akhirat
Haq pada parents, how often do we call them? sms them?
Haq pada hati, ini susah jugak sebenar. sebagaimana perut perlukan makanan, Hati juga begitu, zikir, Quran, mengingati mati...
haq pada badan?....
anyway, back to the topic. I'm really excited about this upcoming Sports Carnival, Let's do our best, and bring back as many medals as we can. Bukan la nak menang sangat, tapi kalo menang pun xpa... tak Juara pun, Johan jadi la... hehe... di samping itu, dapat juga kita berkenal-kenalan... da kenal doh, cuma nok kenal dgn lebih rapat....
ok, this is just my personal opinion,

but I'd like very much that our mascot be the Green Ranger!...

this is a training session..

this video was actually to see how i shoot...
to see if i was doing anything wrong in my shoots...

the thing with archery is
that evena minor deviation in our aiming,
will result in a major deviation in our arrows path
the yellow line is a perfect shot....
say my aim was deviated to the right only slightly..
the flight of my arrow would be deviated a lot more to the right
and go off taget on the target board (target face)
this effect is magnified as the distance
becomes greater.
'under 18 tournament's have 4 distances
30m, 50m, 70m and 90m...
imagine at 90 metres...
only the slightest movement of my bow to the left
would cause my arrow to go greatly off target
and even miss (0 points!)
and to not make things easier
the arrow flies in a parabola...
the fight of the arrow vertically,
in the y axis, depends on
the length that i pull the bow string..
a greater pull makes the arrow go higher
and vice versa
every pull has to be the same...

it just makes getting a bull's eye...
how do you say it...
priceless....

Truth is, since 9 days ago... ada blackout, lepas ada letrik balik hari tu, bnyak appliances rosak.. tv, charger etc. router ntuk internet was one of the victims... pagi semalam baru repair and dapat online....

so far....

semalam ada buat gathering/dinner/reunion (whatever you prefer to call it) of dak2 persediaan UKM... ni pun baru abis kemas2, meng'habis'kan makanan2... huhu... penat!.... I'd say it was a blast!... tahniah semua coz menjayakan majlis ni.. (pictures and a descriptive later)... one of my jobs was to handle aktiviti/permainan pada malam tu ....(sorry kalo ada kekurangan/kontroversi! ....xde niat buruk pun) also it was my first time participating in a musical!... haha... time practice ok je... time kat dePaN ...............................hmmm, tapi org x prasan kot....

you see that's the thing about nervousness, in most cases it's only prominent to yourself, like when you need to give a speech... the audience doesn't feel your nervousness... only you feel it... so don't think too much 'bout it... you might feel like '!@#%^!@%!!', but that isn't so for you audience... don't fight it, WELCOME it! ... it's actually a system that helped our ancestors survived once upon a time, namely the 'fight or flight syndrome'... if you welcome nerves, the Speech becomes a challenge and you become better. If you let your nerves take over, then you go into the flight mode by withdrawing from thr audience.

14 days left till my FINALS!! ....hal ana musta'id? (am I ready?) ... for me to know, for you to discover... eheh... wish me luck!...

speaking of which.. there's this peculiar tendency of students, that when the exams are near, their tendency of seeking GOD increases.... it's true!... those yg duk asrama.. time2 dekat exam... penuh je surau tu... mahasiswa2 lak, sama je... time2 nak exam, kurang lepak2 nya, rajin baca quran etc. ... well i just hope (myself especially) that this tendency is maintained even after the exams...

1 lagi (ngat nak tulis post pndek je, xpelah)... i wonder how many of you can answer (x aci tgk kat tepi) berapa jamadil akhir hari ini?.... alhamdulillah, ada juga yg amik berat... today 27th Jamadil Akhir... just for ur info... Jamadil Akhir has 28 days... yup... meaning 2 more days and it will be REJAB, then SYA'BAN, then RAMADHAN!.... yes... the holy month of Ramadhan....
hakikatnya... bulan Rejab and Sya'ban ni merupakan persediaan ntuk ketibaan Ramadhan... pendek kata, start bulan rejab kita dah start tingkatkan amalan kita, kurangkan perkara2 lagha etc... baru lah Ramadhan kita benar2 bermakna...

sape2 rasa nak share tentang bulan Rejab, Sya'ban and Ramadhan, feel free to leave a comment, my eyes are denying me any more time in front of my laptop at the moment... x tido lagi dari semlam, mungkin insomnia, mungkin bersalah, mungkin kenyang... hmm...

Selain itu,kempen ini juga bertujuan agar dapat mendedahkan kepada ahli-ahli mengenai isu-isu semasa Palestin yang kini semakin hangat diperbincangkan. Oleh hal yang demikian,diharapkan para pelajar sekalian dapat menyokong penuh kempen ini supaya dapat dikongsi bersama intipati yang terdapat dalam program-program yang disediakan.

Tidak beriman seseorang itu selagi dia tidak menyayangi saudaranya seperti dia menyayangi dirinya sendiri.

I'm sure kalau ditanya "do you care about palestine?" the answer would be "Of Course!"but is it enough to just care?
I mean, our Mums for instance... yes we care, yes we love, but is it enough just to love and care?... "my mum knows I love her, no need la"... NO, of course it's not enough... that's why we wish her HAPPY MOTHERS DAY, give her a gift on her birthday, give her breakfast-in-bed,
so, show your support, show you care! If ada tabung Palestine, how much would you donate???
