The Only Constant Thing is CHANGE (part 1)

The Only Constant Thing is CHANGE

it's an ironic fact that i would say nobody can deny. especially when it comes to human beings. may the change be subtle, dramatic, sudden or gradual. everybody's changing. just like the song by Kaene - Everybody's changing.

which brings us to our questions.
Are we changing into a "better person" or vice versa ?
How do we define a "better person"?
in whose eyes are we striving to be seen as a "better person"
How do we evaluate or measure what we call being this "better person"?
what is our guideline into becoming this "better person"?
before we come back to the questions, lets go to the jungle where there is squad of Comandos on a secret mission. And as we all know, jungles aren't filled with ponies and fluffy kittens. Leopards, poisonous snakes and spiders adalah. so they would need great knowledge, experience and skill to navigate the perilous and dangerous jungle.
So let me ask, between the person bringing the rations (food) and the one in charge of the compass and maps. which would you say is the most important?

some would say "the person with the food, duh~" "you can't live without food" but i'd beg to differ. the food will eventually run out anyway. besides, food can be found and procured in the jungle. lalala
So yes, the answer would be the guy with the compass and maps. because without them, the team would get lost in the jungle and the mission would probably fail epicly (epic fail.. hehe) but you get my point.

see what i did there? (this is an analogy) Right now we are journeying through a jungle. one called LIFE. life is just like a jungle without proper guidance we tend to lose our way and get lost due to its vastness. but if you were to put this into perspective and plot or draw the jungle on a world map, how small the jungle would seem!

So if the jungle is that tiny area on the world map, what would the rest of world represent? another question also arises here, where were we before entering the jungle and where will we end up after emerging from the jungle?

we cannot run from the fact that everybody is on the same boat as us. we are ALL an the SAME journey. just like nobody asks to die, nobody asked to be put on this journey. tapi begitulah hakikatnya, i'm in it, you're in it, he's in it, she's in it. deal with it! itu semua kuasa dan kehendak Allah. Dan bukankah Allah telah berfirman;

Are we going to "Play now, Pay later" or "Pay now, Play later". (let's remind ourselves that 1 tahun akhirat sama dgn 1000 tahun dunia!) [some scholars even say more than that] the choice is in our hands.

JOURNEYnya adalah begini.

Alam Roh > Alam Rahim > Dunia > Alam barzakh > Akhiraaaaaaaat (which is forever and ever)

which brings us back to our questions at the beginning of this post

What is our compass? what is our map?
the compass would be HIDAYAH
and the map would be QURAN and SUNNAH

i'll complete part 2 in another post iA...
