YOLO!
a common phrase going around these days... at least on the internet... it literally means;
"You Only Live Once"
Where we reap and harvest the Rewards of our good deeds in the 1st Life. Or... where we pay the price and suffer for our ignorance and disregard of our Creator and the teachings of the Prophet.
Thus, for me a more fitting phrase would be
"You Die Once, Live Twice"
YDOLT!
Ok, maybe not as catchy, but so much more true than YOLO.
A huge common misconception if you ask me. YOLO is implementing that you may do as you wish with your limited wordly life, and that there will be no repercussions for our actions. Which couldn't be farther from the truth than how far we are from our past (masa yang telah berlalu).
You see. nothing is made without a purpose.
A pen is made to be written with, a phone to make calls, a car to drive and a chair to sit.
Imagine a pen that could not write, a phone that could not call, a car that could not be driven and a chair that would just collapse with the slightest weight.
I am sure no one would want such trash in their homes. they would have no value!
so why did God create us? God states clearly in His own words
I am sure that everyone knows this for a fact. but most of the times... "knowing" is not enough! you have to apply what you know for it to count! kena terjemahkan ia kepada perbuatan.
Just like when someone is asked. "Do you love your mom?" the person will undoubtedly say "Of course I do, what kind of a question is that?"
But when looking at the way that person treats his mother, he doesn't 'show' that he loves her. for instance when asked to do the dishes, hang out the laundry, or throw a way the trash. macam2 alasan diberi! (org lain la tapi, my dear readers bukan tergolong dalam golongan ini iA) Apalah sangat, nak berbakti sedikit kepada ibupaba? after they've raised, fed, taught, loved and cared for us all those years! seriouly, apalah sangat nak berbakti. bahkan, takkkan terbalas jasa mereka!
But when it comes to God. It elevates to a totally new level. What has God done for us? Is it enough to just 'admit' and 'say' that we love him? Padahal berapa banyak nikmatnya yang kita guna dan dapat setiap hari?! x mampu terkira! jadi... apalah sangat nak spend a little of our time just for Allah.
Bukannya susah untuk show our love to Allah. Jangan disempitkan skop ibadah.
I remember how my parents used to stick pelbagai 'doa's around the whole house. Doa melihat cermin dekat cermin. Doa masuk tandas dekat tandas. Doa makan dekat meja makan. :) Seriously best! Thank you Allah for my parents. My hope is that one day I can be just as good as a parent (if not better)... amin
I am also grateful to Allah for giving me a wife, that I know deep in my heart will be a great mom. Alhamdulillah!
hmmm
So, to wrap things up.... I'm gonna leave you guys with a short but very deep (meaning) verse
Begin with the End in Mind!
