Change, bukan 'fakkah', tapi 'perubahan'

Tept and Afiq have saved me the trouble of writing about this topic...
hehe... btw, the title was supposed to be funny, dunno if you laughed or not... lol...
*'fakkah' is egyptian for change (money) for those who don't know

anyway... i'd just like to add to what Tept and Afiq have wrote about...
Just want to stress on the fact that EVERYBODY has the potential to change...
take note on the EVERYBODY... somebody might be the laziest person you've ever known... but who knows about tomorrow? and what it has in store...
'Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get' - Forest Gump
that same person might become the most hardworking person given the right time, and conditions... you know what i mean? someone might have neglected the hijab her whole life (maybe due to her background), but this doesn't prove that she'll neglect it for the rest of her days... somebody has already proven that... yes, it was a shock seeing her in hijab, in a nice sort of way... sejuk sikit mata memandang... respect her for the big step she's taken... may Allah take it into acount...

it also works the other way you see... you might see someone as pious and religous... he becomes a figure untill people start calling him syeikh or ust... but this doesn't guarantee him a 'husnul khatimah'... that's why Nabi S.A.W sendiri paling frequently berdoa;

"Ya muQallibal Quluub, thabbit Quluubana 'ala deenik. Wa Sarrifna 'ala Taa'atik"

"Wahai yang membolak-balikkan hati, tetapkan hati kami atas agamamu. dan kekalkan kami dalam ketaatan kepadamu"

you see, this teaches us that we cannot become proud of ourselves... ujub, riak, takabur... coz esok belum pasti....

"Allahummakhtim lana bi Husnil Khaatimah, wa laa takhtim 'alaina bi Suu' ilKhatimah"
"Ya Allah, tamatkanlah (matikanlah) kami dengan sebaik2 kesudahan (syahadah), dan janganlah engkau tamatkan kami dalam seburuk2 kesudahan"

this phenomenon is narrated in the 4th hadith from 'Matan arba'in' / hadith 40

"......A man amongst you may do (good) deeds, until there is only cubit between him and Paradise, and then what has been written for him decides his behaviour and he starts doing (evil) deeds, characteristics of the people of the Hellfire, then he enters it.
Similarly, a man amongst you may do (evil) deeds until there is only a cubit between him and the Hellfire, and then what has been written for him decides his behaviour, and he starts doing deeds charcteristic of the people of Paradise, then he enters it" hadith riwayat Bukhari and Muslim...

This doesn't mean we have no power over ourselves... NO... that is not the case... we ourselves decide our actions... Allah's knowledge of what we will do, does not affect our decisions... the decisions come from ourselves...
Let's say i'm really scared of rats, you know this... so one day you see a rat in the house... you 'know' that i'll jump onto my chair when i see it.... and when i see it, i jump onto my chair!.... but you see, you 'knowing' didn't influence my action even the slightest... it was 'me' who jumped...

ok... ni da lari dari tajuk sebenarnya... what i really want to say is...
Sempena Semester yang baru ni... let's change for the better
takkan masih nak berada di takuk yg lama... betul tak?...
1. Come to lectures... ambil barakah... tidur pun xpe (tapi kalo boleh jgn la)... at least kita hadir majlis ilmu, malaikat2 doakan kita
2. Jgn malas2... lawan sikit nafsu malas tu, nafsu tidur, nafsu game, nafsu makan etc.2
3. DO NOT procrastinate!... it really does you harm... this is probably the most dangerous habit one can have... it's even worse than being lazy
4. Prioritize / time management .. especially to AJKs and SRs... mahasiswa2 lain pun sama je sbnrnya... bnyk berlaku lelehan masa... betul x?... fb, blog, games, movies...

again, if you haven't read this, please do...
